The removeable scuttle

Wow, I can't believe the stuff on this site is sooooooooo out of date. Ah well, here is some pics of the "Removeable scuttle" mod which can be specced from Arch, or indeed is not too hard to fettle for yourself. Start to finish the pics below took 7 minutes!

Step one:  Bonnet removed but otherwise nothing (apparently) out of the ordinary (Click for larger size on all images below)

Step two: There is a series of button head screw through the top of the scuttle which have replaced the rivets - these screw into rivnuts in the (Carbon fibre) vertical bulkhead). There are a further two locating the carbon half doors also.

Step three: There are a further two which secure both the centre mirror and the top of the scuttle to the chassis. Note, two bolts securing the FIA Battery master should also be removed!

Step four: Lift the scuttle away!

Step five: Remove the two bolts either side of the steering column that secure the bulkhead and the steering tube

Step six: lift away the bulkhead

Finally:  Clear and open access to all the stuff hidden away under there
